About You

CSL Vifor is a world leader in Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company, experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline realization, optimization and innovative alliance partnerships on a global basis. We’re currently looking for an Alliance Manager LATAM who will report to the Regional Head of LATAM Region. The role can be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina or Sao Paolo, Brazil.

You will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operating requirements for assigned alliances are effectively managed, project objectives are achieved, and good partner relationships are maintained (e.g. Grupo Farma, Pharmaexport). The incumbent will support CSL Vifor growth and expansion by establishing constructive connections with partners in LATAM. Your  tasks and responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Work with LATAM Regional Head to define the strategic roadmap that will drive business growth in LATAM Partners Market;
  • Manage and recruit a portfolio of key partners;
  • Manage the strategic business relationship with focus on partners across CENAM & ANDEAN to ensure delivering of agreed financial revenues;
  • Grow the iron portfolio in CENAM and ANDEAN with focus on Ferinject
  • Assess and create new Business opportunities by leveraging CSL Vifor Portfolio and the relationship with Partners;
  • Develop excellent working relationships with individuals involved in the alliance both internally and externally;
  • Coordinate communication between internal technical functions and their counterparts of the partner companies; align with messaging / activities of CSL Vifor;
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, and provide partners with a single point of contact for issue escalation and resolution;
  • Plan, implement and monitor operational activities of alliance, including the organization of joint committee exchanges on a project basis, execution of the agreed development and/or commercialization plan, and tracking the performance of the partners and deliverables based on agreed KPIs;
  • Support administrative aspect of alliance, including meeting organization, minute taking, project tracking, filing organization;
  • Provide recommendations to improve Alliance Management best practices;
  • Comply with all applicable national and international regulations governing pharmaceutical development and marketing.


The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.


Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Commercial; Business Development, Project Management, and/or similar form of customer service-oriented activity in the pharmaceutical or related industry;
  • Basic knowledge of the workings of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and commercialization;
  • Experience in support activities across the alliance lifecycle;
  • Exposure to working in a multi-cultural environment, and ability to respect cultural differences;
  • Excellent fluency in English in both written and verbal form;
  • Basic IT literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 50%

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree in life and/or pharmaceutical sciences or business/management;
  • Experience working in Commercial dealing with Distribution Agreements; Pharmaceutical licensing contracts, supply and quality agreements.
