About You

Vifor Pharma, a world leading Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company, is experiencing rapid growth due to the realization, continued expansion, and optimization of its pipeline and portfolio strategy.

We are currently looking for a Procurement Lead - Integration & Marketing for our HQ in Glattbrugg. The main goal and objective for this position is to become the link between the Vifor Pharma Procurement team and the CSL Procurement team and identify, evaluate and drive procurement projects in order to create and deliver value from synergies across the combined spend and shared suppliers.

In addition this position will, in collaboration with the global / corporate functions (primary stakeholders includes but is not limited to the Global Brand Team and the Commercial Excellence team), drive a business focused procurement strategy as well as performing sourcing activities and implement procurement innovation across the Group. 

The role requires a passionate procurement and business professional, with a genuine understanding of the sub-categories in scope in order to collaborate with the internal stakeholder organization in the optimal way as well as an excellent project manager

Furthermore, the role requires full adherence to the Vifor Pharma Values of Entrepreneurship, Teamwork and Respect.

The position reports into the Head of Global Procurement, with a dotted line to the Head of Strategic Procurement.

Key Tasks
  • Own the integration plan for procurement related tasks, including communication, project and execution plan
  • Being the integration focal point between CSL Procurement and Vifor Procurement on integration activities 
  • Own and deliver against an agreed synergy target across all procurement categories
  • Coordinating multi-unit, cross-functional global projects and supporting of local, regional and global implementation
  • Leading and managing competitive bids, RFPs, contract negotiations and contracting
  • Manage suppliers within the Marketing and Events category, through a standardized Supplier Relationship Management process
  • Identification and implementation of savings opportunities by applying best practices
  • Bring procurement innovation into processes and supplier management
Profile needs to meet the following criteria:
  • You hold a Bachelors- or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, or related fields
  • You bring minimum 5 years’ experience within procurement, consulting, key account management or from any of the key business functions in scope
  • Experience in negotiation & contracting
  • You have strong project management skills; you can deal with complex initiatives and to lead through persuasion with all levels of the company as well as across different cultures
  • Excellent verbal written communication skills in English. Additional languages are a big plus
  • Experience in dealing with business stakeholders at all levels as well as suppliers would be considered a big advantage
  • Solid financial acumen and strong analytical skills. SAP knowledge or other Procurement system experience is a plus
  • Open for international business travel as per business needs (approx. 10%)
